What To Expect

We hope you’ll join us for our Saturday or Sunday worship services to see for yourself what we’re all about. Through contemporary music and practical messages we present the truths of the Bible in a format that's easy to understand, even if you've never been to church.

Here are a few common questions and answers:

What if I have kids?

We suggest arriving 10-15 minutes early to allow for parking, registering your children with Harvest Kids, and finding a seat.

What should I wear?

Casual dress is very appropriate at Harvest. You will see everything from sport coats to golf shirts.

What should I bring?

If you have a Bible, bring it. If not, no problem. We have some extras that we would be happy to lend you.

What happens during the worship service?

Generally speaking, our service begins with contemporary worship, led by a band – no choir robes or organ music. Most people stand during this time, however, there is complete freedom to be seated if you prefer. The words of all of the songs are projected onto a screen, and you can either sing along or just sit back and enjoy the music. You'll probably hear songs you can relate to even if you haven't been to church in years.

During the announcement part of the service, we would like for you to fill out the “Register”. It, too, will be passed down your row, and allows us to get to know you a bit. You can request information, ask for prayer, let us know your thoughts, or just indicate your presence with us. In any case, we use it to pray for you during the week. You won’t be asked to stand or raise your hand (or anything else embarrassing) just because you’re new. Nor will you have to recite anything or kneel at certain times during the service.

After our time of worship, Pastor Rob will encourage and challenge you with a practical message from the Bible. You’ll be able to easily follow along with a simple outline provided in your bulletin, so that what you learn on Sunday, you'll be able to use and apply during the week.

Then, like most churches we take an offering. If you’re a guest – relax! The service is on us and there’s no obligation at all on your part. Just pass the offering bag on down the row.

Finally - we close with another worship song that often times ties directly into the message so you can reflect on what you just heard.

How long does the service last?

The service lasts approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

What about after the service?

Don't feel that you have to hurry out the door. In fact, you may want to help yourself to a cup of coffee at the cafe, stop by the Information desk, or check out some of the Ministry Kiosks. If you are a first time visitor, we'd love to meet you! Stop by Guest Central after service where you can chat with one of our staff and pick up a free gift. We also invite you to stay for 15-20 minutes for Step 1 - Discover Harvest offered every weekend after each service. This informal introduction is a great way to find out if Harvest is the church for you.

What if I still have questions?

Please feel free to contact us, or stop by Guest Central after one of our services.
