To glorify God by fulfilling the Great Commission to go and make disciples in the spirit of the Great Commandment.
It is our desire for people by grace, through faith, to profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We believe in intentional discipleship through which believers in Jesus Christ are actively growing in their walk with the Lord and purposefully joining in in the community of the local church. We as a church are all about biblical, expository preaching, Christ-centered worship, fervent prayer, and the bold sharing of the Good News of Jesus Christ.
To glorify God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) in the spirit of the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39).
The GREAT COMMISSION:
"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations..."
– Matthew 28:19a –
The GREAT COMMANDMENT:
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart...[And] you shall love your neighbor as yourself."
– Matthew 22:37b, 39b –
Our Core Values
We strive towards our Mission according to the following Core Values—characteristics and activities that express our heart and shape our ministries:
Expository and Applicational • 2 Timothy 4:1–5
Believing that the Bible is God's Word, we proclaim it in context and apply it to our lives, depending on the Holy Spirit to work.
"Preach the Word...in season and out."
– 2 Timothy 4:2
In Spirit and Truth • John 4:23–24
Believing that Jesus deserves our adoration, we join our hearts and live our lives to exalt His name.
"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
– John 4:24
"Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise."
– Psalm 100:4
Dependent and Expectant • Ephesians 6:18
Believing that God hears and acts, we seek His will and ask for grace to meet our needs and impact the world.
"[Pray] at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication."
– Ephesians 6:18
In Word and Deed • Acts 4:18–21
Believing that people are lost and Jesus saves, we share the Gospel and our lives boldly and urgently.
"We cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard."
– Acts 4:20
Personal and in Community • Ephesians 4:11–16
Believing in God's design for ministry and maturity, we teach the Scriptures and equip the saints to grow and do the same.
"Equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ."
– Ephesians 4:12
STRATEGIC CHURCH PLANTING
Together and Around the World • Romans 15:18–21
Believing in the promise of Jesus to build His church, we raise up and send out pastors to plant new churches, both locally and globally.
"I make it my ambition to preach the Gospel, not where Christ has already been named...[that] those who have never been told of Him will see, and those who have never heard will understand."
– Romans 15:20-21
Our Foundations of Discipleship
We believe that disciple-making is to be worked out together in ministry to one another. It's not about one or a small number of pastors bearing the total responsibility to care for the entire congregation (Ephesians 4:11-12). Rather it's about all disciples using their God-given spiritual gifts to provide mutual ministry, in the context of a vibrant and strong local church.
So what does it look like to follow Christ as part of the body of Christ? We believe the following four practices to be foundational for every believer seeking to follow Christ alongside other believers:
WORSHIP IN CHURCH
GROW IN GROUPS
SERVE IN MINISTRY
1 Peter 4:10
ABIDE IN CHRIST
When we become intentional about seeking to honor God in these foundational areas, we can't help but become "mature in Christ" (Colossians 1:28), growing deeper in our relationship with God, and our relationships with others.
